99 Bikes is passionate about finding the right bike and they’ve been sharing this with there customers since opening there first shop in Milton in 2007, where only 99 bikes could fit! Now you’ll find 99 Bikes all over the country – cause they’re Australia’s largest bike retailer.
The Challenge
As one of Australia’s largest bicycle retailers, 99 Bikes operates a fast-moving distribution network supplying bikes, parts, and accessories to stores nationwide. With growing online orders and increased product variety, warehouse operations needed to be faster, safer, and more sustainable — without adding complexity or cost.

High pallet wrapping film usage and waste from inefficient wrapping
Inconsistent load containment across mixed pallet types
Manual handling inefficiencies when moving pallets to the wrapping station

The Solution
Omni worked closely with 99 Bikes to optimise their packaging workflow — from pallet wrapping and labelling through to everyday dispatch consumables.
1. Plana Pallet Wrapping Machine
99 Bikes installed the Omni Plana Pallet Wrapping Machine, a low-profile, pallet jack–friendly system designed for high-throughput operations. This semi-automatic wrapper allows operators to easily load pallets directly using a pallet truck due to it having only a 18mm high turntable, improving efficiency and reducing strain.

2. Elite Wrap Rolled Edge 5µm Machine Stretch Film
A standout performer in 99 Bikes’ setup is the Omni Elite Wrap Rolled Edge, an ultra-thin 5µm pre-stretched film engineered for maximum yield without compromising load containment. The rolled-edge design prevents film breakage and ensures smooth application — even at high speeds – wrapping a pallet in less than 30 seconds. This innovation allows 99 Bikes to use less plastic, wrap faster, and still achieve secure, consistent loads for transport.

For smaller or one-off loads, 99 Bikes uses Omni Masterwrap 20 Hand Pallet Wrap, offering clarity, strength, and puncture resistance. To protect their diverse range of products, Omni also supplies custom and standard cartons, optimised for different bike
components and accessories. In addition, Omni provides a full suite of warehouse consumables — including yellow thermal labels (for both internal tracking and shipping), white thermal labels, Omni PLP30 acrylic packaging tape, recycled courier bags, and
