Filament Tape - Two Way Omni 505 24mm x 50m

Two Way Filament Tape is an extremely high tensile tape used for heavy duty carton sealing and strapping applications. As the name suggests, there are filaments of fibreglass reinforcements on the adhesive backing of the tape.

These woven strips on the tape are making it so strong and tear resistant. The tape can handle pressure when carrying heavy loads. It does not stretch, which makes it ideal for bundling things together.

People use two-way tape as a heavy duty alternative to regular packaging tape. Ideal for tape sealing boxes containing heavy and delicate products that need maximum support during shipping.

Types of Filament Tape:

One Way Tape: As the suggests, One Way Filament Tape has fibreglass reinforcement in a single direction. Its high tensile strength makes it a popularly heavy-duty tape. One way tape is slightly cheaper alternative. The tape can split lengthways because there are no reinforcements across this direction, which is a disadvantage.

Two Way Tape: This self-adhesive tape is also commonly referred to as cross wove filament tape. As the suggests, Two Way Tape has fibreglass reinforcement in both directions through the tape. Its high tensile strength makes it a popularly heavy-duty tape.

The cost of two-way tape is slightly more than one way tape. Reinforcements across both directions prevent the tape from being split lengthways, giving it an advantage.

Both are available in various widths from 12mm to 96mm wide rolls. 48mm wide filament tape is the most common size for box sealing applications. You can apply these rolls with a regular tape gun or a specialised filament tape dispenser.

Features and Benefits of Filament Tape

  • Very high tensile strength.
  • Available in 12, 24, 36, 48, 72, 96mm widths.
  • Ideal for heavy duty carton sealing and strapping.
