The tape gets its name from its adhesion, as it gets activated only when in contact with water. This tape is also known as gummed paper tape. It is entirely made of biodegradable paper, and the liner is reinforced with a cross pattern of fiberglass filaments laminated between two layers of paper to give it extra strength. The adhesion in the tape contains a biodegradable natural starch that stays in the carton for recycling and penetrates the surface of the carton or package. This tape is not only environmentally friendly but also has a stronger adhesion than regular packaging tape, making it excellent for heavy-duty packaging and delivery purposes.
