Filament tape and strapping tapeĀ are twoĀ different types of self-adhesive tapes which are used for similar bundling and strapping applications.Ā Filament tape has excellent tensile strength which is ideal for heavy duty box sealing and bundling. It is tear resistant due to the fiberglass filaments within the tape. These fibres prevent elongation and make it ideal for securing items firmly together. There are two different types of filament tape; one way and two way. These are also referred to as cross-woven and single-woven filament tape. The rolls are made to fit regularĀ handheld tape dispensersĀ for easy application.Ā
Strapping tape is also a very high tensile strength tape but with low adhesive that allows for clean removal without damaging surfaces or leaving sticky residues. This tape is used as a temporary and low-cost alternative toĀ poly strapping. Strapping tape is available in black and clear colours,Ā and in 12, 18 and 24mm widths.Ā For tasks involving the stabilisation of pallet loads, strapping tape is an ideal choice. Strap tape is wrapped around the load to ensure it is secure while being moved to the stretch wrapping station. For easy and effective application, we recommended using aĀ strapping tape dispenser.Ā Ā
