Machine rolls of packaging tape are typically used for automated carton-sealing machines.The roll is placed in the dispenser, which then applies the desired amount of tape at a consistent rate on the carton as it runs through the conveyor. This automation increases productivity and improves application consistency. It is also available in hand rolls for manually taping applications.
Rubber adhesive provides strong adhesion even at low temperatures. Solvent-based tapes also have better resistance to moisture and oil compared to non-solvent-based varieties. Both hot melt and rubber tapes offer excellent performance when properly applied; however, the use of a rubber solvent is recommended when sealing packages that will be exposed to harsh environments or high temperatures.
