Carton sealing machines, also known as box taping machines, are operated by two side belts driving a carton through top and bottom tape dispensing rollers. These rollers apply pressure-sensitive adhesive tape to the box as it travels on the conveyor through the machine, sealing the flaps closed. This model machine has a conveyor speed of 19 meters per minute. Once the box exits the sealing unit, the next box is immediately ready to be fed through.
 
This taping machine is known as an automatic ‘random’ carton sealer as it will automatically adjust the top and side belts to accommodate different carton sizes fed through. Semi-automatic machines need the width and height manually adjusted to suit the carton size needing to be sealed. These random carton sealing machines are ideal for production lines where the box sizes are not consistent. This model machine can be used to tape any carton that has a width of 120mm to 480mm and a height of 120mm to 450mm. The table height is adjustable from 550mm to 750mm high. These machines can also be integrated with other machines such as carton erectors, heat shrink machines and pallet wrapping machines.
